The company is led by Thomas Skidmore who was Chairman, President, Chief Executive Officer and director of GLENTEL Inc. for 25 years, a multicarrier mobile phone retailer growing to worldwide sales of CAD$1.7 billion, with 1,245 stores and 4,300 employees.  In May 2015, BCE (Bell Canada) acquired publicly traded GLENTEL for CAD$594 million, which included the Canadian retail mall locations of WIRELESSWAVE and TBooth wireless, and the wireless phone kiosks located in Costco Wholesale Canada. Thomas Skidmore was the largest shareholder of GLENTEL Inc. prior to the sale to BCE.  

For over 30 years, Thomas Skidmore was also the co-owner of TCG International that grew to over 1,000 outlets including the North American corporate and franchise store network of Speedy Auto Glass, Apple Auto Glass Canada and the world rights of Novus Windshield and Repair Franchise system.  TCG International was founded by his father, Arthur and his uncle Herb in 1946 with its first location in New Westminster, B.C. In 2013, Thomas sold his 50% share of TCG International to his brother, Allan, who has subsequently rebranded TCG International.     

The liquidation of holdings in the legacy family business, TCG International, and the sale of his equity interest in the public company GLENTEL, have enabled Thomas Skidmore to expand his investment company, Skidmore Development Group in 2015. Thomas has partnered with his son Cary Skidmore, GLENTEL’s former Executive VP & CMO, Jas Boparai, GLENTEL’s former Executive VP & CFO, and GLENTEL’s former Director of Finance, Brian Poschner. Together, we have over 110 years of corporate expertise with extensive investment banking and executive contacts throughout Canada and United States.
